We do not recommend colouring your hair on the same day that you are having hair extensions applied. You will need to allow at least 72hrs between colour and hair extensions application. Colouring your natural hair on the same day as hair extension application can result in the hair extensions slipping out of your hair due to the coating left and swelling of the cuticle.

Showpony Hair Extensions should always be removed by a salon professional to prevent damage to both the extensions and natural hair, as improper removal may void the warranty.
To remove, spray Showpony Tape Remover into the centre of the tape, gently insert the end of a tail comb between the tapes, and slowly separate them. If there is resistance, apply more Tape Remover as needed, and always peel from the centre rather than the sides to avoid damage. Any old tape should be removed from the extensions to prevent residue buildup. Some residue may remain in the natural hair, especially if excessive heat was used during wear. To remove this, apply 1-2 sprays of Showpony Residue Remover, gently comb through, and deep cleanse the hair 2-3 times with Showpony Deep Cleansing Shampoo before reapplying extensions, as any remaining residue may cause slippage. Showpony Hair Extensions are designed to be removed and reinstalled every 4-6 weeks. Although the bond may last longer, this is what we have found to be the safest refitting interval to maintain the health of the natural hair your extension is attached to. Showpony only endorses safe extension wear and will not encourage practices that compromise the quality of your natural hair.
Showpony Slimline Tape Extensions require 72 hours to create a bond with one another, so we ask that you do not allow your hair to get wet, do any strenuous exercise or wash your hair during this time.

Showpony Slimline Tape Hair Extensions are generally used in pairs, with one adhesive tab on each. We also offer Single Sided Tapes, that can be paired with a Showpony Slimline Tape Hair Extension or Skin weft Hair Extension, to seal the underneath of the Hair Extension when you only require one extension, not the thickness of a pair. The two adhesive sides of the Extension, or the Extension and Single Sided Tape are paired together with a thin section of natural hair in between. The adhesive expands, creating a bond to the hair shaft as well as to each other through the hair strands. This bond takes approximately 72 hrs to form, which is why we ask that you do not wash your hair or get it wet during this time.

Our Premium Slimline Tape Hair Extensions come in quarter head packs consisting of 5 pairs or 10 pieces so that you can tailor the number of pieces you need without having to purchase a full head.
